How to Migrate from ClickFunnels to GoHighLevel (Without Losing Your Funnels)

Contacts, tags, and custom fields move over with a CSV export and a field map. Funnel pages, email templates, and automations do not: there is no importer, so every one of those gets rebuilt by hand inside GoHighLevel.

The short answer

Is migrating from ClickFunnels to GoHighLevel worth it?

For most course creators, coaches, and agencies who need a CRM, email and SMS follow-up, and a calendar in the same system as their funnels, yes. GoHighLevel replaces ClickFunnels' funnel builder plus the separate CRM, email tool, and calendar app most ClickFunnels users are already paying for on top of it.

We take no affiliate commission on this recommendation. We build on GoHighLevel because we are HighLevel Certified, not because a referral link pays us to say so.

It is not worth it for a business running a single high-converting funnel with no CRM need, or for a team locked into a ClickFunnels contract with no near-term renewal date. A full comparison of pricing, funnels, and trade-offs is on our GoHighLevel vs. ClickFunnels page.

The core split

What transfers, what you rebuild, and what dies.

Three lists, mutually exclusive. Everything in your ClickFunnels account falls into exactly one of them.

The migration, step by step

The order that avoids double-billing.

Follow this order. Cutting a corner here is what turns a two-week migration into a six-week one.

  1. Audit the current ClickFunnels account: every live funnel, automation, integration, and payment flow.
  2. Export contacts, tags, and custom fields from ClickFunnels as a CSV.
  3. Map every field to its GoHighLevel equivalent before importing, not after.
  4. Import the mapped CSV into a new, non-live GoHighLevel staging sub-account.
  5. Rebuild each funnel page by hand in GoHighLevel's funnel builder.
  6. Rebuild automations and follow-up sequences as GoHighLevel workflows.
  7. Reconnect payments and rebuild order forms.
  8. Submit A2P 10DLC registration immediately, since carrier approval takes time.
  9. Warm up the new sending domain gradually instead of sending at full volume on day one.
  10. Test every rebuilt funnel path end to end with real test transactions.
  11. Cut over DNS and the custom domain, allowing up to 48 hours for propagation.
  12. Run both platforms in parallel for a defined overlap window.
  13. 301 redirect old ClickFunnels URLs to their GoHighLevel equivalents.
  14. Cancel ClickFunnels only after a full billing cycle confirms parity.

The costs nobody budgets for

What a ClickFunnels migration actually costs beyond the sticker price.

The overlap month. You pay for GoHighLevel and ClickFunnels at the same time during the parallel run. Budget for at least one full billing cycle on both platforms, not a clean cutover date.

A2P 10DLC lead time. Carrier approval for SMS registration is not instant. Submit it in step 8 above, not the week you plan to go live, or your automations will be built but unable to text anyone.

DNS propagation. A domain cutover can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate. Stage the cutover for a low-traffic window, not the middle of a launch.

Email warm-up. Sending at full volume immediately from new sending infrastructure risks spam-folder placement. A gradual ramp over the first couple of weeks is standard practice, not optional.

Rebuild hours. Every funnel page, email template, and automation is rebuilt by hand. Hours scale with your funnel count and complexity, not something a CSV import can shortcut.

Do it yourself or have us do it

The DIY checklist, or a fixed-fee migration.

DIY checklist: export contacts and tags, map every field before importing, import to a staging sub-account, rebuild funnels one at a time, submit A2P registration early, warm up the new sending domain, test every path, run both platforms in parallel, cancel ClickFunnels last. All fourteen steps above, done by your own team.

Have us do it: our project-based migrations are quoted as a fixed fee scoped to your funnel count and complexity, separate from a monthly retainer. See our pricing page for how project work and retainer tiers differ, or book a call for a quote scoped to your account.

What we've built on platform switches like this.

Case study · Platform sync, closest problem shape

Zero data loss moving between two systems

We have not published a ClickFunnels-specific migration case study yet. The closest is this build: a fitness business needed zero data loss syncing Mindbody and their CRM, the same core problem a ClickFunnels migration presents, moving records between two platforms without dropping a lead.

We built custom middleware that achieved zero data loss with real-time sync and automated lead tagging, a solution the client went on to resell as a premium offer of their own.

For a Zapier-based bridge you can use during a parallel run, see our GoHighLevel and Zapier integration guide. And if funnels are just one piece of a broader lead-gen rebuild, see our GoHighLevel automation for real estate agents page for what a full workflow rebuild looks like once your funnels land in GoHighLevel.

Common questions

The ClickFunnels to GoHighLevel migration, answered.

Can I migrate my ClickFunnels contacts to GoHighLevel automatically?

Not with a live sync. You export contacts, tags, and custom fields from ClickFunnels as a CSV and import them into GoHighLevel, mapping each field by hand first. There is no native, ongoing sync between the two platforms.

Will my ClickFunnels funnels transfer to GoHighLevel?

No. Funnel pages, templates, and page designs do not transfer. There is no importer, so every funnel gets rebuilt by hand inside GoHighLevel's funnel builder.

Does GoHighLevel have a ClickFunnels importer?

No. GoHighLevel has no native ClickFunnels importer for pages or automations. Contacts and tags move by CSV export and import; everything else is rebuilt.

How much does a ClickFunnels to GoHighLevel migration cost?

GoHighLevel's own plans run $97, $297, or $497 a month depending on tier, on top of usage. A migration project is quoted as a fixed fee scoped to your funnel count and complexity, separate from a monthly retainer. See pricing for how project work is scoped.

Will I lose my ClickFunnels affiliate program?

Yes, in its current form. ClickFunnels' Backpack affiliate system has no direct GoHighLevel equivalent, so an active affiliate program needs a separate dedicated affiliate tool or a custom-built replacement.

How long does a ClickFunnels to GoHighLevel migration take?

A single funnel for a solo operator typically runs 1 to 2 weeks. A 10-funnel agency or small business runs 3 to 5 weeks. A 50-sub-account agency runs 2 to 3 months, staged sub-account by sub-account.

Can I run ClickFunnels and GoHighLevel at the same time during migration?

Yes, and you should. A parallel run, testing GoHighLevel with real traffic while ClickFunnels stays live, is how you confirm parity before cancelling the old platform.

Do I need A2P registration before I can text leads in GoHighLevel?

Yes, if you plan to text US phone numbers. A2P 10DLC brand and campaign registration is required by the carriers, and approval takes time, so submit it early in the migration rather than waiting until go-live.
